Hello Future Families of Sonia Sotomayor Elementary School!
Chula Vista Elementary School is inviting you to attend a Parent Forum and Informational Meeting about the school your child is currently zoned to attend next year!
We will be hosting a Parent Forum and Informational Meeting for future families at Sonia Sotomayor Elementary School on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 from 5:30 to 6:30 pm at Saburo Muraoka Elementary School’s MPR.
On the evening’s agenda, we will share all the exciting programs coming to Sonia Sotomayor Elementary School (such as our Spanish Language Dual Immersion program, SDC classes, LEAD programs, and more). I hope you will join me in sharing our excitement for the innovative space for student thinking that we are creating for our students and staff. In addition, we will be selecting school colors, our mascot, and inviting parents to participate in the School Site Council, English Learners Advisory Committee, and Parent Teacher Association at Sonia Sotomayor.
Childcare will be provided for families, along with some light refreshments. Please join me at the forum. We are excited to inform parents about this exciting and innovative school!

In addition, if your child currently attends Saburo Muraoka Elementary School and is zoned to attend Sonia Sotomayor Elementary School next year, we will be hosting a special assembly on Friday, April 5th in the morning during school hours to gather their input on our new school!
