YMCA Character Builders provides peace of mind to working families through affordable before and after school care that ensures your student is in a safe, low ratio, fun, and supportive environment. Each day includes activities to help students learn, build life skills, and develop healthy relationships — including homework support, health and wellness, visual and performing arts, sports, leadership development, service learning, and character development. Y staff are trained to focus on social emotional learning and have behavior support resources to ensure the well-being of each student.
For those families in need of before and afterschool care, YMCA Character Builders will be opening registration for the 2024-25 school year on Monday, May 13th for all families. Scholarships are available for families that qualify and they accept 3rd party Child Care Aware Fee for the Military.
