Looking for Middle School?
We are proudly part of the Chula Vista Elementary School District and support children in grades TK-6. For seventh grade and beyond, kindly contact our partners at the Sweetwater Union High School District: https://www.sweetwaterschools.org/
Our school district does offer a middle school program via our district-supported charter schools at Discovery, Arroyo Vista, Feaster, Mueller, and CVLCC. More information is posted on their websites.
Get Involved
Parent involvement and participation are vital to student success. Parents participate in our school by getting involved in our School Site Council (SSC), attending the English Language Advisory Committee (ELAC) meetings, and volunteering through our Parent Teacher Association (PTA). Parents are invited to participate in classroom activities, field trips, programs, and assemblies. We also need parent volunteers to support our school in other ways! We encourage all loving parents and legal guardians to stay as active in our school as they are able to do so.
Stay informed. We encourage communication in many ways:
- Teachers maintain ongoing communication with parents through progress reports, phone calls, emails, and/or weekly newsletters and emails, and conferences.
- School events are published on the school’s website front page, the school’s blog, and on the school marquee.
- Principal communicates through phone calls, emails, and texts via School Messenger and updates to this blog.
- School Site Council meetings are open to the public. Public communication at meetings is always on the SSC agenda.
- ELAC meetings focus on providing parents of English language learners with school program’s background knowledge and opportunities for them to serve as an advisory forum to the principal and the SSC.
- Our school’s PTA provides a quarterly newsletter and holds general membership meetings.
- There are before and after school activities through our LEAD and Character Builder’s programs provides physically interactive after school activities to enrolled students until 6:00 pm each school day, except Minimum Days which are until 5:00 pm.
We welcome volunteers and are continually seeking Educational Partnerships with businesses and organizations in our community. Please call (619) 216-6511 if you wish to become involved in school activities. Spanish translation is usually available, if the school is provided advanced notice of at least two weeks.
